Alice In Wonderland Jr.
Canceled due to Covid-19
An email sent to all camp members:
Dear Young Actors, Parents, Friends, and Supporters,
The Lincoln-Way Theatre Guild has been discussing options for our upcoming Young Actors’ production for quite some time. After much deliberation the LWTG is saddened to have to announce the cancellation of the upcoming Young Actors’ Production of Alice In Wonderland Jr.
In light of the White House’s guidance on “re-opening”, Governor Pritzker’s decision to extend the stay at home order, Lincoln-Way District 210's cancellation of events at their Performing Arts Centers in June, the cancellation of many other public performances and camps this summer, and the uncertainty surrounding the safety of public gatherings over the next few months, we have come to the conclusion that it is in the best interest and safety of all those involved to cancel this summer’s production, rather than postpone.
We know that this is incredibly disappointing to everyone involved and want everyone to know that this decision was not reached easily. If your payment was processed you will receive a full refund. Most payments, including credit cards, were not yet processed. If you wrote a check, please contact us and let us know if you would like us to void the check or return it to you.
The LWTG cares deeply about the safety, security, and well-being of all our Young Actors, their families, our staff, our crew, and our guests. We thank you for your support, time, and patience. We believe that the show must go on, but we also believe that a successful show is a healthy show. We hope to be back together on the stage with you soon!
Sincerely,
The Lincoln-Way Theatre Guild Executive Board
